Today marks the final day of school for Horry County Schools students and the close of another successful school year. Throughout the year, our students, teachers, staff, and families worked together to support learning, celebrate achievements, and create meaningful experiences across our schools.
Horry County Schools is once again holding our Summer Feeding Program, which offers FREE meals to anyone 18 or younger.
These meals are offered from 7 - 8 AM for breakfast and 10:30 - 11 AM for lunch., Monday through Thursday, and must be eaten on-site. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
HCS is proud to announce the launch of our Presidential Leadership Partnership with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation. The foundation offers a leadership simulation in which students won’t just learn about history, they’ll live it by taking on the roles of President Reagan, cabinet members, military leaders, and even the Press Corps to resolve an actual historical crisis: 1983’s Operation Urgent Fury.
Horry County Schools’ performance on the 2025 state report cards, based on overall ratings, shows that 38 out of 57 district schools were rated as Excellent or Good. Of those, 16 HCS schools were rated Excellent and 22 were rated Good, while 18 earned a score of Average.
HCS Scholars Academy High School is ranked #1 of all 1,309 schools in the state, earning a report card score of 99.7 out of 100!
